Coming back from a mini-vacation to celebrate a friend's birthday is always hard to get back into things. I choose not to jump in quick but get things in order first. I create lists. I write them out. And tackle them one by one.
I create a to-do list for the day, week, and remainder of the month. Then, reorganize my list into more critical on top and less critical items on the bottom. One of the simplest practical things I do that make me effective in the day and upcoming month. If I do not finish the list, I add it to the next day, unless it's a hard deadline.
